The Corsair 600T, full Tower features, Mid Tower size.
The thing Corsair is trying to impress upon you the most with this case, is how the 600T has all the great features of a Full Tower though in a Mid Tower size. This case has become very popular, though does it actually live up to what Corsair says?
Now first of all there are 2 versions of this case, the standard and the Special Edition with the white finish. Today we’ll be taking a look at the White Version.
On the side you find a big window to display your build. I love windows because if you go to all the trouble and spend a lot of money on a High End PC you want to be able to show it off, so a window is always good. The case comes mounted with a standard window but it gives you the option to switch out the window to mesh. (The case comes with the mesh in a small box.) Using mesh allows you to put 4 120mm fans in the side! The side panel opens up really easily and it is a great design though i would be a little worried if you brought it to a LAN. This is why corsair included a key, to lock it up so you can be safe at LANS!
On the top we have a removable mesh filter type thing, that looks really neat. When you take this off it gives you access to the top fans so you can configure them however you like. On top you also find the power and reset switches as well as a firewire port, a headphone and microphone input, there is an integrated fan controller, 4 USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0 port. Here Corsair could have done better and made another USB 3.0 port.
Moving along to the front where you have your 4 5 1/4″ bays as well as a removable front fan filter, and that’s about it.
Moving on to the back we have 8 expansions slots, a 120mm fan and your normal power supply cutout. You also have your I/O panel slot and 2 water cooling grommets.
On the inside we have 6 hard drive bays as well as a couple of tool-less design 5 1/4″ drive bays. Corsair has provided us with excellent cable management., and an extra large CPU cutout. The case also has 8 grommets and many other cutouts so you can route your cables without making your build look messy.
In the way of cooling we have 2 pre mounted 200mm fans (both with white LED’S) and a rear 120mm fan. This case can support 2 x 120mm fans up top as well. (This means you could fit something like a H100 in the top.) There is also support for 2 x 120mm fans in the front.
We’ve covered just about everything, and this case is good, but not outstanding and it is a little overpriced. ( $179 ) If your going for a more snowy look this case might just be for you. Though this case looks good i wouldn’t buy it. I feel it doesn’t have enough USB 3.0 ports ( front ) the window is in the wrong position and the case would probably only suit you if you liked Storm Troopers.
